Interspace Limited, llc, is a full service interior design firm specializing in commercial interiors. Interspace was founded in 1985 and has worked with a very diverse range of clients for the past 36 years. Interspace is a Certified Women Business Enterprise, a Certified Women Owned Small Business and is owned by Kathy Wilford and Darlene Huffman. Interspace has the largest degreed and certified interior design staff in the region. The team is comprised of NCIDQ certified and LEED AP certified interior designers and supported by administrative personnel.
Interspace Limited, llc has invested in state of the art computer software to assist in the production and management of our projects. Construction documents are created in AUTOCAD 2018 and Revit which allows for ease and efficiency of sharing project information with the client and other professionals. Integrated furniture specification software, Project Spec, and industry specific accounting software, Team Design, help make the full design process more efficient and accurate. This software has reporting features that assist with project management, scheduling and budgeting.

Woman Owned Small Business Certification
This certification specifies that the company must be “small” in its primary industry in accordance with the SBA’s (Small Business Administration) size standards for that industry. The company must also be 51 percent unconditionally and directly owned and controlled by one or more women who are U.S. citizens. Management and daily operations must be controlled by one or more of the women owners, and they must make long-term decisions for the business.
National Women’s Business Enterprise Certification
This certification is a rigorous, multi-faceted business application and review process that is conducted by a trained Certification Review Committee to ensure that women-owned businesses applying for certification are 51 percent owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or group of women.
National Council for Interior Design Qualification Certification
NCIDQ is an organization of regulatory boards and provincial associations in the United States and Canada whose core purpose is to protect the health, life safety and welfare of the public by establishing standards of competence in the practice of interior design. NCIDQ serves to identify to the public those interior designers who have met the minimum standards for professional practice by passing the NCIDQ Examination. Completion of the NCIDQ Examination recognizes that an individual has met minimum competency standards for the practice of interior design.
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - Accredited Professional
The LEED Professional Credentials are professional designations for those who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building techniques, environmental issues, the LEED program, and the certification process.
Interspace Limited, llc serves as the exclusive dealership in Central and Eastern Kentucky for Haworth and Kimball office furniture, both manufacturers are leaders in the commercial furniture industry. Interspace also has direct buying relationships with over 1500 furniture manufacturers allowing the specification and procurement of the perfect solution for each client’s specialized needs. Artwork, accessories and window treatments are available to allow a project to be uniquely completed.
Furniture provided by Interspace Limited, llc is delivered and properly installed by certified and factory trained service technicians and installers. Installations are planned and scheduled to ensure that the installation will progress as smoothly as possible and is completed as scheduled. If necessary, post installation modifications and adjustments will be scheduled, and orientation for new casework, seating, and furniture systems will be provided. Fully equipped and insured vehicles will be provided for travel and transportation of product to the job site. Complete debris removal including a “green” initiative will be included. Refurbishment of panel systems, as well as cleaning of upholstered panel products and seating is available if needed. Corporate dealer support and warranty repairs are included. Reconfiguration of freestanding furniture and modular systems is available as departments grow or modification is needed.
Interspace Limited’s warehouse manager will receive and inventory all products shipped for a client. We have 6,000 square feet of warehouse space with an additional 30,000 square feet that can be utilized, if needed. Short and long term product storage is available.
