Interspace Limited was selected for two projects at Concord University. The first was to provide interior design services and furnishings for the new University Point Building which is a multi-functional building that houses the University Foundation and Alumni functions. The building has offices, a Board Room, a large multi-function space that is used for meetings, banquets, receptions, and a non-denominational chapel. A unique challenge in the Board Room was that it needed to function as a casual seating area most of the time, and set-up as a Board Room for the Board Meetings. A custom conference table was designed to allow the table to break into sections and convert to side console tables when not set-up as a Board table. The second project was to provide interior design services for the refurbishment of the President’s House. The house has great historic significance to the University and is being refurbished to allow for receptions and dinners to be held on the first floor of the residence. All furniture, window treatments and oriental area rugs were selected and provided by Interspace.
